Dear Sendik’s Guest,
We would like to thank all of you for the kindness you have shown our company over the past week as we have adapted to the changing environment with the onset of COVID-19. You have been fantastic, compassionate and kind to our team members, and we could not be more thankful.
We take seriously the role we play in our nation’s food distribution system and want to make sure all of you are able to receive safe and nutritious food to feed your families. And, although none of us know what’s next, we can promise you one thing: we aren’t going anywhere.
That said, there are some changes that we have implemented in our day to day business that we would like you to be aware of, beginning with our weekly ad. We work far in advance in securing the best deals for you and your families. In fact, the weekly ad that you are seeing tonight (3/18-3/24) went to print ten days ago. Ten days ago, we could not have predicted where we are at today. Demand on key products, out of stocks and supply issues were not an issue. However, this is the reality of what we are facing today.
Because of this, the digital ad that you will see online is different from the print copy of the ad you will receive in your mailbox. We promise you that we are working as hard as we can to source and honor everything in our weekly ad, but as you can imagine, some things are out of our control. The digital ad linked below is up-to-date to this moment but please understand that we may experience out of stock conditions on certain high demand items.
Additionally, and as you would expect, we have had to make some temporary changes to our operations to ensure that we are providing the safest and healthiest shopping experience for our customers and associates. Although our hours of operation will remain the same, 7am-9pm, we are kindly asking guests to reserve the 7 am – 8 am shopping hour each day for those shoppers who are at a higher risk of severe illness by COVID-19, which includes older adults and those who have compromised immune systems.
We have also temporarily suspended all self-service stations, including hot soups, salad bars and hot bars. To see all of the precautionary measures we are taking, please visit this page, which we are updating daily.
Our goal is to keep you as informed as possible about the efforts we are making to keep you and your family safe. We thank you for your understanding and for your business.
Sincerely,
The Balistreri Family
